I’m an Italian architect with a Master’s degree in Restoration. I’ve worked in public offices managing historical architecture heritage and delved into researching the intricate details of historical buildings. From 2018 to 2022, I tackled a fascinating project as part of my doctoral dissertation at ETH Zurich, funded by SNSF. My focus was on construction history and building archaeology, specifically the medieval timber domes of St. Anthony Basilica in Padua. I honed my skills in on-site investigations and using digital tools like laser scanning, photogrammetry, 3D modeling, dendrochronology, archival research, and GIS mapping.
Since 2022, I’ve been collaborating with Mariam Issoufou on a project involving the creation of a database and digital archive dedicated to traditional architecture. Alongside that, I’m continuing a GIS project, examining how trademarks were used around the Alpine arch from the 15th to the 19th centuries.
My research interests span architecture, constructive details, construction history, intersectional sustainability, database management, and digital platform design. I’m also continuing my education in Data Science, interactive maps, and digital platform infrastructures. As an active member of the ETH Zurich community, I’m part of a working group addressing academic precarity and continuity, working to raise awareness about these issues within the department.
